Associate Medical Officer - Cook County Public Health Applications Due October 11, 2025

JOB SUMMARY:                                                                                                                            

The Associate Medical Officer is responsible for supporting the Public Health and General Preventive Medicine Residency Program Director in the administration and oversight of an accredited residency program in preventive medicine for the Cook County Department of Public Health (CCDPH). This role combines educational leadership, program management, mentorship, and clinical practice to train the next generation of preventive medicine physicians. Ensures compliance with accreditation standards, fosters innovation in training, and integrates the program with institutional and public health priorities.

Assists the Program Director working as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide select personal and broad population health services to the residents of Cook County.

BC/BE occupational medicine provider - University of Iowa Health Care, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care Medicine, and Occupational Medicine 1/27/2025

Description

The University of Iowa Health Care, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care Medicine, and Occupational Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine is recruiting for BC/BE occupational medicine provider. Candidates who are BC in a primary care field, but who have considerable clinical experience providing occupational health services are also encouraged to apply.

The position will be at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor or higher, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Successful candidates will receive a salary commensurate with the individual’s training.

Clinical duties include the regular outpatient clinical management of work-related injuries/illnesses and occupational exposures, independent medical examinations, second opinions, impairment ratings, and may include other occupational health activities such as staffing the University Employee Health Clinic or teaching at the University of Iowa College of Public Health. Clinical duties will be located in Eastern Iowa.

Responsibilities may vary based on the experience and interests of the successful candidates. The Division enjoys a strong national reputation of excellence in research, patient care, and teaching.

Education Requirement: M.D degree or equivalent

Required Qualifications: Applicants must have demonstrated outstanding abilities and skills in teaching and clinical medicine. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Certifications: BC/BE  occupational medicine provider. Candidates who are BC/BE in a primary care, orthopedics, physiatry, or preventive medicine but have considerable clinical experience providing occupational health services are also encouraged to apply.
