We are dedicated to promoting the health of workers through preventive medicine, clinical care, research and education.

The Central States Occupational and Environmental Medicine Association (CSOEMA) is the midwest component under the auspices of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM), with 400+ members in seven states. ACOEM was founded in 1916 and is the nation’s largest medical society dedicated to promoting the health of workers through preventive medicine, clinical care, research and education. A dynamic group of physicians encompassing specialists in a variety of medical practices is united via the College to develop positions and policies on vital issues relevant to the practice of preventive medicine both within and outside of the workplace. ACOEM represents over 4,000 physicians specializing in Occupational and Environmental Medicine. The American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM) recognizes and certifies qualified physicians in the medical specialty of occupational medicine.
