Getting Involved

Why should I get involved?

It’s fun! Meet new people! Get connected to others in your field.  You want to become a Fellow!

There are numerous opportunities for members to get involved, especially for residents and new members. Engagement options include:
  • Serving on the Board of Governors
  • Participating in seminar planning committees
  • Contributing to the CSOEMA Connection, our quarterly newsletter editorial board
  • Taking on speaker roles
  • House of Delegates
  • Mentorship
  • And many more!

Board of Governors – The Board of Governors currently consists of fourteen (14) governors and five (5) members of the Executive Committee.  There are six (6) State-based Governors and six (6) at-large Governors and 2 Resident Governors, one from each residency program.  The State-based governors and at-large governors terms are three (3) years.  The Resident member terms are 1 year.

Participating in seminar planning committees – CSOEMA hosts two (2) seminars a year.  One is virtual, the other is in person.  Participating in Seminar planning provides a way to network with CSOEMA leadership and other Occ Docs.  It also allows you to plan the seminar that you would most like to attend.

Contributing to the CSOEMA Connection, our quarterly newsletter editorial board – Do you like to write and research?  Our CSOEMA Connection Newsletter is published quarterly.  You could contribute on a regular or occasional basis.

Taking on speaker roles – Do you have a topic or talk that you would like to share with CSOEMA? Suggest a topic!

House of Delegates – Volunteer to participate in ACOEMs House of Delegates

Mentorship – Contact us for more information on becoming a mentor or mentee.
